Do you want to help people, to have that rewarding feeling at the end of the day knowing you may have made a difference in someone’s life?  Do you like a challenge that brings an adrenaline rush?  Have you wanted to be hurrying to a hospital’s emergency entrance with an ambulance rushing to save someone’s life? Could you see yourself helping to stabilize a heart attack patient until arriving at the hospital? Or could you see yourself containing a fire to prevent further danger?  In law enforcement, firefighting, and emergency medical responding, every day has the potential to be completely different from the last and the Law Enforcement Services Career Pathways at Marietta High School may be just the opportunity you are looking for.  A career in these areas allows motivated people to try their hand at a host of unique and interesting skills and job tasks.  Working crime scenes, guarding perimeters, being the first on the scene of medical emergencies, and fighting fires can be so interesting and intriguing that often job tasks do not feel like work.

Careers in law enforcement can involve a variety of activities each day including stopping crimes in progress, interviewing victims and witnesses, writing reports, testifying in court, forming relationships with the community, and responding to emergencies. The Law Enforcement Services Career Pathway at Marietta High School teaches students skills used in law enforcement careers.
